I have wagered on countless of hands of twenty-one. I started working my way into the casinos when I was 16. I have played online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of bankroll at vingt-et-un. The gambling halls have made it basically impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and bet on a regular basis. Over this time period I have played a variation of blackjack called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, still you will experience a lot of fun. This method is based on the idea that blackjack appears to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy twenty-one. When I lose I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I lose again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the action back down to the original value.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets very fun on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had great runs a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Flamingo a number of years ago with $750 after 30 minutes using this method! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a game with $1200!
You must understand that you can say good-bye to a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the runs you notice betting this way. Here is a chart of what you would wager if you kept winning at a five dollar table.
Wager five dollar
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Wager five dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total bet of 10 dollar
Wager ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 10 dollar bet
Bet ten dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of $20
Bet $20
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager
Bet twenty dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of forty dollar
Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the first forty dollar bet
Wager $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of eighty dollar
Wager eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the first 80 dollar wager
Bet $80
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 160 dollar
Wager 160 dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial one hundred and sixty dollar wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and fifteen dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a run this long, but it can happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your wager or the final result will not be the same.
